Research Assistance

The library is closed until further notice. Please check back regularly for updates. If you need library assistance, please feel free to email us at refdesk@capecod.edu and a librarian will respond as soon as they are able. You can also call the Reference Desk using Zoom – find us under Contacts as Reference Desk. Both Email and Zoom accounts will be monitored during the hours the library would normally be open (Monday - Thursday 8:00am-8:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm). For general library information during this time, please call us at 508-744-6441 during these hours.

Research Assistance is available to students, faculty, staff and community members whenever the Library is open.

Audiovisual Materials

The Media collection is located on the Library's first floor and includes DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes. All titles are fully searchable in the Library's online catalog.

Anyone may view and/or listen to individual titles at computers, viewing stations or rooms any time the library is open. To arrange for viewing, call x4341, e-mail Adam Harris or come to the Reference Desk.

Faculty wishing to use media titles in the classroom should call x4341 or e-mail Adam Harris.

Please note: The Instructional Media Collection is designed for classroom use, therefore most materials do not circulate except to classrooms.

To arrange for AV equipment delivery, contact the IT Help Desk at x4004 or helpdesk@capecod.edu.

In addition to our physical collection, our Films on Demand subscription provides thousands of titles in streaming video on campus and off.

Interlibrary Loans

Cape Cod Community College students, faculty, and staff may request books, audiovisual materials, and periodicals via Interlibrary Loan.

  • Books are lent freely unless a service charge is assessed by the responding library.
  • For periodicals, a nominal fee of 10 cents per page is charged, unless an additional service charge is assessed by the responding library. Fees for unclaimed articles will be processed as a library fine.
