40 Hour Real Estate Salesperson Pre-License Courses

Massachusetts requires 40 hours of pre-license training prior to the real estate salesperson exam. This course will prepare students for the license exam. It is approved by the MA Board of Registration for fulfilling its licensing requirements.

This 24-hour intensive four day program is designed to inspire and teach managers to create an increasingly positive and productive work environment by developing as individuals as well as shifting the overall culture in four core areas: 1) Management Essentials, 2) Communication Styles, 3) Optimizing Performance and 4) Results-Focused Leadership.

The Management Academy will focus on the following core topics:

  • Understand the basic principles of collaborative management and learn to leverage tools to increase collaboration in problem solving, meetings and internal and external communication.
  • Learn how to implement and conduct a structured interview process, how to structure behaviorally based questions around important skills, and assess and create an action plan for new employees added to your team.
  • Learn an effective performance management model, understand how both reinforcing and changing behavior feedback shorten the performance management timeframe, and brainstorm reward and recognition tools.
  • Understand cultural differences and how they can impact employee communication and interactions, understand where micro inequities can occur, and develop a plan to create openness and awareness for yourself, coworkers, and your teams.

Bring your Excel projects to us! Join us for a "live" working session to help you successfully navigate and utilize excel for your workplace. Participants are encouraged to bring their current Excel projects to these sessions.

This two-session course introduces the newest growth sector in the U.S. energy industry, starting here with Vineyard Wind—the nation’s first large-scale offshore wind project. The initial session provides expert perspective on technology basics, global trends, why Cape Wind failed, and how a new generation of local projects will succeed. The second, which focuses on career opportunities and other benefits to be created as offshore wind projects move forward in southeastern Massachusetts and beyond, will also feature a guest speaker offering an inside look at Vineyard Wind.

Intended audience: High school and college students; workers in marine, construction, welding, and other trades; business and manufacturing professionals; and entrepreneurs looking to ride the wave.

This course is designed to assist the experienced dental assistant with course content and study guidance as one of the many resources available that may be used for test preparation.

Course Objectives - The student will be able to:

  • Discuss the techniques of radiation exposure for extraoral and intraoral exposures
  • Identify technique/processing errors and discuss how to remedy the error
  • Describe safety measures for the patient and operator
  • Describe infection control measures that are necessary in the radiation exposure technique
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of conventional film processing
  • Discuss mounting techniques and recognize normal anatomy upon a radiograph
  • Discuss patient management techniques
  • Describe test taking strategies for success
  • Perform a simulated examination using practice questions

When it comes to creating multi-page documents such as books, brochures and catalogs, there is no better tool for the job than Adobe InDesign.

In this course beginners will learn how to use tools like stylesheets, master pages, and all the basics they will need to get started on these projects. Participants will also begin to learn some graphic design fundamentals such as typography and layout and gain valuable insight into how InDesign fits into a designer’s workflow.

This course prepares students will the skills required to perform a civilian dispatch position within a city or town. Dispatchers perform routine to complex clerical and dispatching work in the operation of the City/Town’s Public Safety Communications Center. Work Involves frequent telephone contact with members of the community.

This course is offered in Partnership with the State 911 Department and students will be required to participate in a consecutive 2-day equipment training program off-cape in Middleboro, MA. Students will receive a state-approved certification after successful completion.

Prerequisites: High School Diploma and/or GED, extensive background check including CORI/SORI, and the ability to read, write and spell the English language.
