Biodiversity of Belize
SCI100 Ecotourism (1 credit)
More than a quarter of the 9,000 square miles that make up Belize are under a carefully managed system of reserves. During the trip, guests will explore biodiversity in the country, and will become familiarized with those reserves.
Over the course of eight days, guests will:
- Visit and hike through the Belizean jungle
- Swim in St. Herman’s Blue Hole
- Bird watch
- Travel to Punta Gorda to visit the Mayan archaeological site of Nim Li Punit
- Snorkel in Placencia
- Get introduced to the Reef Eco System
