Department of Social, Behavioral and Human Services
Our 12 full time Faculty members and 65 Adjunct Faculty Instructors are dedicated teachers who have a wealth of academic and teaching experience and professional field experience. Our faculty members are committed to helping students succeed in their journey to fulfilling their academic pursuits in the classroom, practicum and internship experiences. Our department offers both in-person and online courses throughout the year in Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Education, Economics, Fire Science, Geography, Government, History, Homeland Security, Human Services, Legal Studies, Philosophy/ Religion, Government, Psychology, and Sociology.
Students can choose to graduate with an a 2 year Associate in Arts degree in specific concentrations (these degrees are designed for students planning to transfer to a Baccalaureate [4 year] institution):
Students also have the option to graduate with a 2 year Associate in Science degree in degree concentrations (these degrees provides students with the general education and professional skills to enter the workforce and/or transfer to a Baccalaureate (4 year) institution for further education):
In addition to Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees, the department also provides Certificate programs. These certificate programs consist of 16 to 29 credits which may be incorporated into the required credits for an Associate degree.
