Graduation Information

Graduation is the certifying of degrees and certificates. Graduation takes place three times each year. Fall graduation in January, Spring graduation in May, and Summer graduation in late August or early September.

Commencement is the annual ceremony Cape Cod Community College holds for the graduates it certifies throughout the year. The Commencement ceremony is currently held in late May at the Cape Cod Melody Tent.

Your name will appear in the Commencement Program for that academic year if you submitted your degree application prior to the deadline and have met all requirements for graduation.

You can find detailed information regarding security, ADA needs, cap and gowns, arrival, seating and all graduate activities through the Office of Student Engagement: www.capecod.edu/commencement

Please Note: All diplomas will be mailed within 4–6 weeks of the Spring Commencement Ceremony, Fall (January) and Summer (August/September) graduation dates.

  • Diplomas are ordered three times a year, at the end of each term upon confirmation of each potential graduate as a graduate.
  • The diploma folder given to each graduate as they walk the Commencement stage will have a note about when to expect diplomas to be mailed.
  • Diplomas are mailed 4–6 weeks after each graduation and Commencement to the address on file in our student information system. Please verify that your address is correct.

If not, file a Change of Student Biographical Data. Complete this form for an address, legal name or other personal information change. Legal proof of a name change is required. For security and legal purposes, a legal document, such as a marriage license, divorce decree, adoption papers, certificate of name change at naturalization, or other court order indicating change of name, must be presented or attached to the Office of the Registrar.

  • There is a $20 fee for each Replacement Diploma Request that is ordered after the original has been sent. Please contact the Office of the Registrar for additional information.

Degrees and Certificates are posted to academic transcripts within 10–14 business days after final grades are posted and following Commencement.
