Mr. Gibbons has previously served in the United States Coast Guard and graduated from AMT-A School at the USCG Aviation Technical Training Center in Elizabeth City, NC.
During his time in the USCG, Gregory traveled to Air Stations in California and Alaska before coming back east to Air Station Cape Cod.
He served as aircrew and technician on the HH65, a short-range recovery helicopter, and the HU-25 Guardian, medium-range search and rescue/surveillance aircraft and eventually became an Instructor at AMT-A School in North Carolina.
As an Instructor, he led courses for the HH65 A&P Course, Turbomeca Arriel 2C2CG Overhaul Course, Certified Corrosion Inspector Course, CG Track and Balance School, MRM, CRM, and Instructor Development before returning to Air Station Cape Cod, assigned as the HC-144 Maintenance Chief until he retired from Active Duty in July 2020.
Mr. Gibbons has been teaching at Cape Cod Community College’s AMT program since October 2018, and started as a part-time Instructor before becoming a full-time Faculty member in August 2020.
