Dr. Lex, a native speaker of German, was born in Salzburg, Austria. She studied first at the University of Vienna and then earned her Ph.D. at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
Teaching and research interests: German language and literature, interdisciplinary courses combined with film and fine arts. She published a book and articles on contemporary Austrian writer Peter Handke and writes journalistic articles for the Swiss Review and a column for a Zurich regional paper.
Dr. Lex taught at NYU Deutsches Haus and Wheaton College.
