Student Ambassadors

If you are looking for ways to get more involved in student life and give back to the college, here is your opportunity! We are looking for friendly, energetic, experienced students who have a broad knowledge of the college to be Presidential Student Ambassadors for New Student Orientation.

Presidential Student Ambassadors will assist in welcoming new students to the College and mentoring them through their first year at CCCC. The role of the Presidential Student Ambassadors includes working with college staff to:

  • Telephone new students and welcome them to the College
  • Invite them to participate in the Orientation Program
  • Co-present the Orientation Program
  • Maintain contact with the new students through their first year of college
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of follow-up activities to promote student success

Serving as a Presidential Student Ambassador is very rewarding. You will provide an important service, and have fun at the same time. Students helping students is one of the most effective ways to welcome new students and to help them to be successful in their academics.

To be a Presidential Student Ambassador you must demonstrate a record of academic leadership and service in college and/or community activities; have achieved academic success, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0. You must be enrolled at least part-time (six credits) for Fall 2017. Presidential Student Ambassadors will be compensated at a rate of $11/hour for the time they work on the Orientation Committee.
