Our Green Campus


4Cs is dedicated to transforming our campus into a "green campus".  We have recently unveiled our LEED-certified Lyndon P. Lorusso Technology Center building.  A campus-wide recycling and composting program is underway.  The College has added several energy-related courses and is developing certificate programs in energy efficiency, wind power generation and photovoltaic technology.  And, we are making great strides toward "greening" our energy usage by instituting energy conservation methods and utilizing alternative energy sources.  The Wilkens Library is powered by a 200kw fuel cell; the Lorusso Technology Center and several other campus buildings are equipped with photovoltaic panels; and the College has begun construction of a 750kw wind turbine that will provide power to the campus and to low income families.
