HEALTH SERVICES Each student enrolled at the College pays a fee which includes access to the health services. All visits are free, as are some medications and laboratory testing. A nurse is on campus Monday through Friday, and a physician is on campus one day a week. Psychiatric services are available by appointment one day per week. Student health insurance is mandatory for those carrying 9 or more credits, unless already covered by equivalent insurance. Massachusetts State Law requires immunization documentation of all students enrolled full-time, regardless of age.
CHILD CARE The College's on campus, professionally staffed child care center is open from 7:30 am -5:00 pm with a choice of care following the college calendar or of care from Sept. to June. Children from 2 years, 9 months to 6 years of age are eligible for enrollment in the nationally accredited preschool program. The Center, called 7 Seas, acknowledges the hectic lives of parents and allows for flexible scheduling. CAREER PLANNING AND PLACEMENT The Career Planning and Placement office, located on the second floor of the Grossman Student Commons building, provides students with career planning and job search assistance. Appointments may be made with a career counselor to discuss career selection, resume writing, interviewing skills, and related issues. Assessment instruments are available to help students identify careers that might be a good match for their interests, skills, values, and personality preferences. Students may browse through current job opportunities. Students can connect with employers, at our on-campus recruiting table in the Connector Hallway. In our career library, students can research career fields, employment trends, salaries, etc.
STUDENT EMPLOYMENT The Student Employment Office helps people find part-time and summer jobs by keeping in close contact with area business and the community. Working part-time while in school makes students more marketable upon graduation. The office, located on the second floor of the South Building, assists both full and part-time students.
