Cynthia A. Crossman
Assistant Vice President Administration and Finance
Cynthia A. Crossman has been with Cape Cod Community College since 2001. Cynthia grew up in Orleans, MA and graduated from Nauset Regional High School. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Babson College earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Economics. She has worked in the accounting field for over sixteen years as an auditor for Ernst & Young, LLP and as a Controller for a non-profit agency before joining CCCC.
During her time at CCCC, Cynthia has held leadership positions on many committees including co-chairing the NEASC accreditation process. She graduated from the Massachusetts Community College Leadership Academy in 2004 and attended the College Business Management Institute at the University of Kentucky. Cynthia has performed business reviews for other community colleges and has been a presenter for NEASC.
Lore Loftfield DeBower
Dean Arts and Humanities
Lore Loftfield DeBower has taught French and Humanities at Cape Cod Community College for 35 years. She earned a BA in French and Comparative Literature at the University of New Mexico, an MA in French Literature at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Ph.D. in Medieval French Women's Studies at the Five College Cooperative (University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Amherst College, Smith College, Mount Holyoke College, and Hampshire College). She served the Department of Language and Literature as chair for many years before accepting the position of Dean of Arts and Humanities.
Lore is a church musician, organist, choir director, and regular performer in baroque and renaissance ensembles. She directs the Falmouth based Solstice Singers. She is a volunteer leader in the Academy for Lifelong Learning and hosts the Tuesday afternoon Foreign Film Series at Cape Cod Community College.
Lore is committed to working for peace and justice in our world.
Dean Enrollment Management & Advising Services
Roseanna Pena-Warfield has been a valued member of Cape Cod Community College for 16 years. Dean Warfield began her tenure at CCCC as an academic & personal counselor. In addition to a full counseling caseload, Rose taught 'Race, Class and Culture in the United States' and also found the time to serve as Advisement Coordinator, helping to develop the first on-line advising and tracking system at CCCC for faculty, administrators and staff.
After almost ten years as a counselor, Roseanna accepted the position of Assistant Dean of Student Support Services. Her position has since been upgraded to Associate Dean of Enrollment Management & Student Development. She ensures that Admissions, Assessment, Financial Aid, Health Services, the Hyannis Center, the Life Fitness Center, Registration and the Student Development Office run smoothly.
Roseanna graduated from Harwich High School and attended CCCC briefly before transferring to Lincoln University in Philadelphia. She exhibited her leadership and facilitating skills early on as a Resident Advisor in the dormitories at Lincoln. In 1974, Roseanna earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Psychology. Roseanna's next stop was the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she was accepted into their Masters Degree program in Educational Administration. She continued to enjoy her studies while acting as a Residence Director, managing housing and helping to resolve dormitory life issues for one thousand undergrads. Summers were spent counseling students in the College Now and Upward Bound programs at Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMASS-Dartmouth). In 1983, Roseanna was the proud recipient of a M.Ed. degree. Dean Warfield also graduated from the Massachusetts Community College Leadership Academy 2004–2005.
Rose continued on to Fitchburg State College where she served as the Director of Minority Affairs and Alternatives for Individual Development. She was responsible for planning educational programs for minority and non-traditional students.
Dean Warfield was a Past President of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands, and is currently a member of their Advisory Board. She also served on the Independence House Executive Hiring Committee.
Vice President Academic and Student Affairs
Sue Miller is the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and she has over 25 years of experience in higher education. Prior to taking on this role in February 2010, Sue was the Dean of Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences and Human Services since 2002. She is also a registered nurse whose clinical expertise includes community mental health and gerontology. Sue was Professor of Nursing at Cape Cod Community College. In addition to her tenure as Professor of Nursing at Cape Cod Community College, Sue has held a variety of nursing staff and management positions on Cape Cod.
Sue is active in community activities as a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Bourne Sandwich and serves on the Board of the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands and as a member of the Board of Corporators for the Cape Cod Cooperative Bank. She regularly pursues professional development to keep current with issues in healthcare and higher education. Sue is completing the requirements for the Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Administration at the University of Massachusetts Boston where her research interests are in the area of access, equity, and educational success.
In her leisure time Sue enjoys traveling, reading for fun, power walking along the Cape Cod Canal and the Sandwich Boardwalk and just being with her family.

Assistant Vice President Human Resources
Victor Santos joined CCCC on December 10, 2012 as its new Asst. Vice President of Human Resources. A native of the island of Terceira, Azores, he immigrated to the US in 1970. Victor has over 27 years of Human Resources and Safety Management experience. Although this is his first introduction to the Higher Education arena, his experience includes extensive employee and labor relations with several national and international manufacturing companies, Rhode Island Hospital and most recently as the Asst. General Manager of Employee Relations of the RI Public Transit Authority.
A resident of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Victor was a Rhode Islander for most of his life and is still very much involved in many civic and professional organizations there. With his tri-lingual skills (Portuguese, Spanish and English) he is very excited about working with the diverse communities in the Cape to integrate them even more into our College and its many services.
With a passion to the Human Resources profession and servicing all of our internal customers, it is his hope that he can use his private industry experience and contribute to the growth and vision of the College, working with our administrators, faculty, staff and our labor partners in continuing to make Cape Cod Community College an employer of choice.
Married and father of two girls, Tanya and Chelsie, Victor's passions and hobbies include: As a semi-professional singer, playwright, 15 string guitarist and accordion player, he has recorded four CD's. He has written and directed three musicals which were presented in Canada, and California as well as to many local audiences including BCC and has written numerous songs and plays.
