Cape Cod Community College Environmental Technology Project

The goal of this project is to provide an enriched, hands-on laboratory experience for environmental technology and general education students in three Environmental Technology (ET) courses.

Experienced faculty designed classroom learning modules on alternative and renewable energy sources. The College's power-generating natural gas fuel cell is now part of the ET curriculum. This fresh approach adds the study of wind and solar power on the Cape as a potential non-polluting source of electricity as students use new instrumentation in the laboratory and in the field. This project is a collaboration between CCCC and Cape & Islands Self-Reliance Corporation, a non-profit organization devoted to helping Massachusetts communities and citizens become self-reliant in energy, water, and food.
