Consists of biographical and position papers of this Massachusetts State Senator and U.S. Congressman. Includes 10 folders on the Cape Cod National Seashore, including bills H.R. 5786 and H.R. 989 introduced by Hasting Keith, promoting the establishment of the Cape Cod National Seashore.

Also included is an oral history transcript from the Library of Congress recording the major bills and achievements of this former Congressman. Civil works projects, fisheries and wildlife papers, jetport proposals, maritime position papers including the Tanker Disaster Act, 1967 are listed, as well as papers and correspondence concerning the controversial creation of a Wildlife Refuge on Monomoy Island and the debated Phase down of the Otis Air Force Base.

Other issues covered in Keith’s papers include: Nantucket Sound Island Trust, Naushon Trust, Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, Penn Central Rail freight Service shutdown and the Plymouth-Provincetown Celebration Committee. Included in this collection are photographs (38 items) dated 1967 related to the Congressman.
