Shipmaster. Consists of a journal of a voyage from Elizabeth City (North Carolina) to Boston on schooner Melvina (February 17–May 6, 1834) and a journal of a voyage from San Francisco to Falmouth onShip Eagle Wing (1862–1863). Bound with the Eagle Wing journal is a ledger of the general store (1872–1873) run by Captain Kelley. 2 volumes.

- Coaster Melvina Feb. 17, E. City, North Carolina with cargo of 2,200 bushels of corn from Little River, North Carolina. In Charleston discharged corn for 101 casks of rice and 33 bales of cotton.
- On April 1, 1834 anchored near Cape May.
- May 1 passed Scituate, passed Cohasset, passed Boston Light. Discharged cotton. So ends this voyage.
Log of Eagle Wing 1862–1863
Summary: June 25, 1862 left San Francisco aboard the Eagle Wing of Boston bound for Hong Kong making 55 days of passage.
