WHO IS YOUR ADVISOR?
Whenever possible, you are assigned to a faculty advisor within your academic interest. Unfortunately, this is not possible for everyone. You may also be assigned to an advisor who is connected with a specific support program or assigned to the Advising Center. All advisors have access to the best information possible to help answer your questions.
A letter will be sent to you during the second week of each semester informing you who your assigned advisor is and where they are located.
Please remember that if your assigned advisor is not available, all students may come to the Advising Center.
Advisors will have their office hours posted on their office door. Appointments can be made by email, telephone or in person.
During preregistration period, you will be sent a letter letting you know which date you have been assigned to register. Prior to each preregistration period, there is a two week 'Advising for Preregistration' period. During this time, you should meet with your advisor to prepare next semester's schedule and discuss any additional academic concerns you may have.
Come to your appointment prepared! Review your Program of Study and how far along you are. Identify classes and times that will continue your path to completing your degree.
