Adult Learner Information Sessions

Information Sessions are designed for adults who may returning to college after an extended absence, or who may be starting college classes for the first time. Whether you are changing careers, looking to boost your skills in a particular field or just getting started on your college experience, our staff is here to assist you in a welcoming and supportive environment. Dual Enrollment Information Sessions

Information Sessions are required for all new Dual Enrollment students, and provide an overview of the program and the college-level expectations that Dual Enrollment students will be required to meet in these courses. Other topics include: placement testing, the academic calendar, college policies such as changing schedules, requesting transcripts, FERPA regulations, and the registration process.

All Dual Enrollment Information Sessions will meet in the Admissions Office, 1st floor of the Nickerson Administration Building. Information Sessions begin at 10:00am and typically run 60 minutes in length. Guests, parents, and friends are invited to attend also.

Health Programs Information Sessions

Attendance at an information session is strongly recommended for all applicants to the Nursing programs and required for applicants to the Dental Hygiene, Medical Interpreter and Paramedic programs. An Admissions Representative and the Program Coordinator will share up-to-date information about the program and answer questions about the curriculum, clinical assignments, support services and the admissions process. All sessions will begin in the Admissions Office, except where noted.

    Dental Hygiene – Information sessions will be held on the following Mondays, and start in the Admissions Office. Attendance is required for those applying to this program:

Human Services & Alcohol/Substance Abuse Careers Information Sessions

Attendance at an information session is strongly recommended for all who are interested in learning more about our Human Services degree concentration and our new certificates in Alcohol/Substance Abuse Counseling, levels I & II. The Program Coordinator and Director of Admissions will share up-to-date information about these programs and the various career opportunities they lead to.  Information covered will include graduation requirements, practicum, licensing examinations, College support services available and the admissions and financial aid process.

Project Forward Information Sessions

Project Forward is a vocational training program for adults with learning difficulties. During the information session there will be a brief presentation, which includes a discussion of the highlights of Project Forward and a review of the application process. After the presentation, you will have the opportunity to tour the campus.

Veterans Information Sessions

Please come to an information session specifically for veterans that will include information such as veterans education benefits (both State and Federal), services offered by CCCC Veterans Services, and opportunities involved with becoming a CCCC Veteran Association student.
