| Learning Communities are a great format for learning and student success! In a Learning Community, you will attend two courses with the same group of students. The faculty members leading the Learning Community have planned some unique assignments and activities around a common theme. The two courses are conveniently scheduled back-to-back and your professors may even be teaching some topics as a team to help you more effectively understand the course material. Research shows that students who participate in a Learning Community spend more time together, make new friends, form study groups, make stronger connections with faculty, the college and the courses they are studying - and, even better, are more successful than students who schedule their classes individually! |
