CLEP ~ College Level Exam Program

Earn college credit and save time and money by successfully completing one or more CLEP examinations. CLEP exams cover material taught in courses that most students take as requirements in the first two years of college. Students may earn up to six college credits for each CLEP examination completed successfully.

There are thirty-four exams that cover material taught in courses with similar titles at most colleges. All CLEP examinations are 90 minutes long and are administered on computer. Student test reports are available immediately (except for English Composition with Essay exams).

CLEP registration bulletins are available at the Registration Office, Advising Center, and the Assessment Center. Each exam costs $70 plus an additional $15 administrative fee.  Credit cards are the preferred method of payment for the actual CLEP exam with checks required for the administrative fee.

Students may purchase the Official CLEP Study Guide in bookstores or may download individual study guides at a cost of $12 from www.collegeboard.com/clep.

Please submit your CLEP application to the Assessment Center in the Grossman Commons Building before 4:00pm on or before the registration deadline date.
